Dr. Adana Llanos, Assistant Professor of Epidemiology, Rutgers School of Public Health, Founder and CEO of Wynn Biomedical Consultants gave an informative lecture on the “Exploration of Personal Care Products as Environmental Risk Factors for Breast Cancer.”
She presented research from Women’s Circle of Health Study showing associations between hair product use and breast cancer. Building on her 2017 publication, her most recent findings (not yet published) suggest that there are associations between characteristics of hair product use with more aggressive breast tumor features.
